Announcement of Gifford CCSD #188 Board Vacancy
The Gifford School District is currently accepting applications to fill the vacancy resulting from the resignation of Jill Duden. The individual will serve on the School Board from the date of appointment (September 21, 2015 is the anticipated date) to April of 2017, to complete the term. Applicants for the Board must meet the election qualifications that are listed on the following page.
Applicants should show familiarity with the Gifford Board’s policies regarding general duties and responsibilities of a Board and of a Board member. This includes, but is not limited to, fiduciary responsibilities, conflict of interest, ethics, and gift limits. The Gifford Board policies on these items are available by contacting the unit office located at 406 South Main Street, Gifford, Illinois or by phone at 217-568-7733.

The application deadline will be September 15, 2015. After all applications are reviewed, applicants will be notified of their status by School Board President, Michael Schluter. The selected candidate will be appointed and sworn in on September 21, 2015.
