For the month of November, GGS is highlighting honesty. The quality of being truthful in what you say and do, and acting in a way that's reliable and trustworthy is vital for children to be learning and practicing at an early age. We will be reading, "The Empty Pot" and discussing why it's important to be honest.

2nd graders went to the Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur. They learned how students went to school in a one room schoolhouse. They enjoyed the animals, little mazes, apple cider, and a pumpkin cookie.

For October, the trait we are focusing on as a school is caring. We are participating in Socktober and collecting donations of new socks all month long! At the end of the month, we will give the socks to the Bethany Park Clothing Center in Rantoul.

Tomorrow is the last day of Rock Your School! We're ending our week by saying something kind and positive to everyone we talk to and a rock concert featuring Logan Allen Music! Don't forget to wear your favorite rock band t-shirt/rock attire!

Kindergarten had a special guest for show and tell this morning. They've been bringing in items to share for the color of the week, and today Ms. Walker did a color changing experiment! 🧪
